Ancillary Text - Poster.

For our initial poster we included a number of different images the aim of this was to create enigma for the narrative and promote the genre of the film. The main problem with this is that there was too much on the page and created confusion and were also unclear.

Due to these problems with the first poster we decided to create another to reach our full potential. The changes include adding in a black border this makes it more refined. We also added the production company, tag-line and the working title this is for advertising purposes. From analysing other posters we new to add a block of text naming the people who acted, produced and helped with the teaser trailer. We used photoshop to create the poster to edit images and add effects one of the main ones we used was blending the faces from one to the other.
Although we liked the changes we made to our poster, we thought the structure and layout wasn't to the highest level after we had done some extra research. By adding in reviews we could show our target audience and the feedback and enjoyment people have had from watching the film. (although the guardian isnt correct as its for a more educated audience so we changed it to horrorsnotdead.com because they were experts in the horror industry and highly acclaimed. We also added the BBFC rating as it helped show how scary  the film would be and which audience it appeals to. We used a spooky font for 'truth or dare' to create a horror effect. The black background with the red titles signifies death with connotations of red being blood and black being death.
We changed coming soon to 2010 because after doing some research we found that company's gave the year, this may be to create suspense and eagerness for the film.
